Chicago Immigration Lawyer: Expert Legal Assistance for Immigrants
Richard Hanus is a partner at NIJC, a national nonprofit organization that provides legal representation and community empowerment to immigrant communities in the Chicago area. He represents individuals and families in a broad range of immigration matters, with a particular focus on cancellation of removal cases and family-based petitions. He has been recognized by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyer in immigration and visa law for the past ten years.
TCA Health is the compliance and coordination supervisor for NIJC’s Children’s Protection Project. She is a BIA-accredited representative and has extensive experience in immigration law. Prior to joining NIJC, she was a legal assistant at an immigration firm in Champaign-Urbana and has provided pro bono assistance at Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network, the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services and Mandate Democracy.
Dominique Mejia is a staff attorney and Equal Justice Works Fellow sponsored by United Airlines. She serves on NIJC’s non-detained kids project, handles federal litigation and represents and advises survivors of gender-based violence as part of the NIJC Asylum Project. She received her JD from DePaul University College of Law and a B.A. in international relations and history from Drake University.
